Global Dialogues
Between Word Circles and Action Spirals
A cycle of two events: Word Circles and Action Spirals. These dialogues want to generate spaces for listening, dialogue and participation, seeking transformation actions.​ An open invitation to talk about meaningful issues and to have an encounter between ethnicities, peoples, communities, and languages. All of them conveying in Montreal. Several inquiries, experiences, and examples of will. Artists, thinkers, and educators dive into their paths as cultural agents.

This initiative was born from a conversation between Cristina Jimenez, Rahul Varma and Rana Bose. After moulding some ideas and trying to understand the concerns at the institutional level, Cristina made the proposal for this internship providing her interests and experience working with the community, to bring Global Dialogues to life. Gladly, the project got the Elspeth McConnell Fine Arts Award internship in December 2022 to be developed during the winter term.

Create a safe environment to discuss critical intersectional concerns.

Present essential views by key agents encouraging peace with social justice and promoting alliances.

Promote an encounter of voices to enhance creative, educational, communal, and transformative perspectives.
Why:

Because it is necessary to integrate different elements in an epistemically diverse space rooted in local ancestral wisdom.

Because processes of critical reading of reality acknowledging commonalities and diverse positions, differences, or divergences with a clear sense of mutual understanding, provoke transformation.

To identify community issues, necessities, and desires and bring culturally inclusive conversations.

To find a peer-to-peer learning experience, an ongoing methodology, and a field of action in this encounter of knowledge.

To present and propose actions of transformation having Teesri Duniya Theatre as a cultural epicentre.
