Action Spirals: antecedents

- Gather people to talk about relevant issues and create different strategies for change: artistic to the community.

- Based on the inquiries and ideas discussed previously in the Word Circles, provided as a listening space. The invitation was a check-in on returning to the origins and the navel. The first cycle’s discussion topics surrounded the relationship between institutions and artistic processes, artists as institutions and agents of transformation.

- Action spirals: ancestral knowledge, participatory action research, and pedagogy of the oppressed. The need for decolonization in the ways of producing knowledge. A call to raise those ideas to popular, societal and community movements and work.
